Geriatric/Senior Population
Exercise has multi-system anti-aging effects. It’s the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth. Science said so.
In fact, one movement has been used to predict sickness and quality of life measures in old age. The Sitting Rise Test.
This is not a sales pitch. This is a health pitch. Age-related muscle loss starts the 30’s and occurs annually at the rate of 1 to 1.4% per year. By the 40’s, strength loss happens at a rate of 3% per year. As that happens, the risk of pain and disease increase as well. Imagine the losses and risk profile of someone at 50 or 60 years old who doesn’t exercise.
But there’s good news. It’s never too late to start! It takes only a few months of consistent effort to offset years of decline and Movement Recovery is excited to help you with that so you can live your best years in front of you.
Why? Because people are living longer but it doesn’t always mean the additional years are meaningful years. And we want to change that. The aging population is also the biggest victim to limiting beliefs, either self-imposed or dictated by society. Limiting beliefs are negative thoughts that give you feelings of inadequacy, incapacity and inability even if they are not true. You cannot let such thoughts run your life but you have to do something about it.
Movement Recovery is here to help you change your “I can’t” to “I will try” and then to “ I will soon.”
Let’s work on adding life to the years. We can work together to make them count.
